Sir Real presents The Mouth of God LIVE tonight at 10pm GMT on Music World Radio > Good enough to eat!

Happy thursday all :-)

It’s thursday night…it’s ten’o’clock…and once again it’s time for the Mouth of God! Presented by me, Sir Real…with, as you might expect, a fine selection of wrongness, weirdness, beauty, cosmic anthems, acid rock, deviant disco, mutant techno, funny talk and hoo-haa…

Tonight’s theme is “Good enough to eat!”…pretty self-explanatory really, will be playing songs all about food, drink, eating and drinking in general, or in fact anything that you might want to put in your mouth ;-) Suggestions and requests are welcomed in the shoutbox as always, although as usual I can’t promise that I will play them all :-)

I would be very chuffed indeed if some of you would like to join me for the journey, don’t forget to say hi – and please feel free to circulate far and wide to spread the wrongness :-)

Templeton Pek – “30 seconds too far” January 31st 2011

UK Rock trio TEMPLETON PEK are set to release a 30 second single “Thirty Seconds Too Far” on January 31st, along with a full  music video to accompany it.

The release is an attempt to chart as the shortest song officially released ever in the UK.

The band, a credible seasoned touring act in their own right, from club tours to arena shows, feels like shaking up the system. “We really wanted to release something that makes a statement and impact in the industry. The current machine churns out and revolves around 3 minute 30 second generic songs,’ because the ‘industry’ dictates that. So we thought we’d go against the grain…” explains singer Neal Mitchell. “The whole point of the release is to show you don’t have to follow the formula, you can be free to do what you want.”

TP are gearing up for the release of their eagerly awaited second album ‘Scratches & Scars’ on February 18th (EU) & 21st (UK). Not only did they write their forthcoming release they recorded and produced it themselves.

“Basically we felt the only people who could fully represent what we’re trying to do on this album were ourselves. It was a massive learning curve and we poured in our combined experience of touring and production, to produce something that we are all massively proud of. The result is something that isn’t watered down by going through the industry ‘assembly line’ process.”

Release date for ‘Thirty Seconds Too Far’ is scheduled for January 31st 2011. The band have traded in their DIY ethic for Campaign sponsors DC Shoes and Monster Energy Drink. Along with Ibanez, Laney, and Tama Drums.

TEMPLETON PEK released their debut album ‘No Association’ to critical acclaim in 2008/2009 gathering famous fans along the way including Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) “An excellent album, razor sharp little nuggets” and media coverage from the likes of MTV2, Scuzz, Kerrang! Radio, XFM, BBC 6music, Rocksound, Big Cheese, SLAM! and Kerrang! Magazine amongst others.

The band also featured on the soundtrack to the million selling console game Colin McCrae: The Dirt 2, and a track was used in a campaign with drinks giant Coca-Cola promoting legal downloading.

‘Barriers’ a punchy and melodic yet visceral song is the first single from the new album, and gives a taste of what to expect from the band’s sophomore release. It is available as a FREE download from www.freebarriers.co.uk.

Brand new album ‘Scratches & Scars’ is scheduled to be released on February 18th 2011.
