The Nightingales – Pigs On Purpose

On this date in 1982, The Nightingales released their debut album, Pigs On Purpose. It contained the single, “Use Your Loaf”. The Birmingham, England post punk band rose from the ashes of The Prefects, a punk band that included original Nightingales members Robert Lloyd, Paul Apperley, Eamonn Duffy and Joe Crow. Nightingales disbanded in 1986 after three albums and numerous lineup changes. They have reunited and released new material.
