Network: Musician – Derby 4th November

Tuesday 4th November sees Network: Musician arrive in Derby. Taking place at The Flowerpot,  King Street, DERBY at 4pm, anyone involved with music and music business is free to attend this discussion group.  Come and ask questions, share experiences and exchange information – it is an ideal chance to meet others from the music industry and network.Who is it for? Musicians of all styles, genres and backgrounds, managers, publishers, record producers, venue owners, promoters, record companies, funders and others connected to the music business.

Gigbeth Conference 2008 Tickets are £100 + VAT

Thursday 6th November 2008 10am – 6pm + VIP Gigbeth Opening Party at 6pm.

 

Come and listen to Fyfe Dangerfield (Guillemots) talk to Janice Long (BBC) about his experience of music education both as a student and as a workshop leader and his experience of the music industry so far.

 

+ workshops and debates looking at:

 

–       links between the music industry and music education

–       how to promote your music

–       Intellectual Property and Music Law

 

With expert speakers like Marc Jaffrey (Music Manifesto), Maggie Crowe (BPI and Governor of the BRIT School), Rich Castillo (A&R for Shalit Global) and Alexis Grower(International music lawyer).

 

All this will take place the Radisson SAS Hotel in Birmingham followed by a VIP Opening Party featuring exclusive performances by Scott Matthews and Nigel Clark from Dodgy(Champagne reception sponsored by Harvey Nichols Birmingham).

 

Tickets are £100 + VAT and include entrance to the conference, VIP Party, Queue jumping pass to the Gigbeth Festival and a one day pass to Music Live at the NEC.
