12/11 days to go: The story of Bearded Magazine

With Bearded relaunching on 29 January we here at Bearded towers thought it would be good to count down the 12 days in typical hungover Christmas style with 12 posts chronicling the journey of Bearded from an idea in my head.

  • It has been brought to our attention that the government wish to consider it a "legal requirement" in the new tax year to introduce laws insisting anyone applying or re-applying for an entertainment license must have a noise control device fitted to the venue. This will be the final NAIL for ALL entertainment in the UK as the level at which these devices CUT you off is dreadfully low and damaging. A passing bus will probably make more noise than a drumkit!

PLEASE DO NOT INTRODUCE THIS LAW, WE LOVE LOUD LIVE MUSIC!

In 2008 the band toured Europe as half of a reformed Police Bastard. Last under The Sun found a new drummer in 2008 called Simon (ex-Rivers Edge and current Police Bastard stick man), and has started to work on new material.
  • This article examines the music industry from an economic and business history perspective. The claim made is that more new music is created when majors aren't dominating the market. Furthermore, it claims that to move forward into the internet age the music business must break free from its industrial mindset. This article is an adaptation of an earlier academic study.
