List of gigs played by Last Under The Sun 2001-2005

Last under The Sun was put together in Birmingham by Mark Badger in 2000. The band has had several line up changes over the years and Mark remains the only one who has been in every line up.

Last under the Sun played its first gig on 9th October 2001, at Manhattens, Hereford, UK with Eggraid and Redshift. The band is based in Birmingham and plays a mixture of punk and hardcore. The band has played all over the place gigging up and down England, Wales and Scotland and in 2004 and 2005 the band went to mainland Europe visiting Holland, Belgium, France and Germany with Sensa Yuma. At the start of 2008 the band ended up working with Pid and Chris and toured Europe as half of the new line up of a reformed Police Bastard.

Last under The Sun found another new drummer in 2008 called Simon (ex-Rivers Edge and current Police Bastard stick man), and the band has started to work on new material and all the rest. The band hope to release some new recordings in 2009

SASA Music is a live music agency based in London UK. With twenty years' experience, SASA produces tours for some of the biggest names in international roots music including Buena Vista Social Club, Justin Adams and Tinariwen and worked with greats such as Ali Farka Touré.

Ivo Papazov was born in Kurdzhali on the 16 February 1952. He was only nine years old when he first got involved with music. At first he learned the accordion, but in line with his family tradition he moved on to the clarinet. His family came from Dedeagach, then part of it moved to Dzhebel and from there to Kurdzhali. His great grandfathers were zurna players, but his grandfather became the first clarinet player in Thrace. His father and his musician colleagues were so impressed by the mastery and skills which Ivo showed as he taught himself the clarinet that they sent him to a children’s music school with the clarinetist Peter Filipov. But his real school turned out to be the multitude of weddings where Ivo went with his father, and where he learned to master the instrument and develop his virtuoso technique. At the same time, he studied at the school of construction in Kurdzhali. In 1974, when he was only 22 years old, he formed his first band.

_Ateshhan Yuseinov is one of the most interesting guitar players, not only on the Balkan. With his unique technique which can be characterized by its fast rhythms and changes of the Balkan music and combined by improvisation in a very open way of playing he has aquired cult status. Apart from the guitar Yuseinov is famous for his multi-instrumental skills. He is equally in command of playing the tambura as well as the saz.
