The song is aimed at reducing knife crime across Birmingham and gives parents, teachers and the general public an insight into why people commit knife crime and offers the youth a way out. Also Gigbeth has always been about trying to bring more co-ordination to all things music in the region and has recently been awarded some funding to support and promote local music businesses (e.i venues, promoters, managers, lables etc). This is still being sorted out but Gigbeth will be finding ways to get you ideas and involve people in the project – so watch this space for more information.
