Ben – ‘yes to fairer vote’ campaign to raise awareness for the yes campaign on electoral reform – looking for community support and volunteer involvement. The ‘Get Involved’ page of the BMN website also invites people from across the local scene to contribute from gig listings and links to promoted nights and blog posts. A discussion followed about the level of consultation of the music industries by organisations tasked with formulating strategy for the support of the creative industries in Birmingham and the Midlands. It was generally felt that meetings like BMN could provide a valuable insight into the needs and direction of the local music industry.
